BIOGRAPHY
For over ten years Austin Peters has been writing and recording songs that tell stories about the world we live in. Having traveled extensively throughout the world, Austin gathers material inspired by both the physical and emotional trials of life on the road.

Austin grew up on the rainy side of the mountains with a passion for the culture and rugged environment of his home community in the Pacific Northwest. Through his music, Austin attempts to transcribe his experiences in the modern world, weaving his musical patterns with the timeless threads of experience we all share.

His songwriting has been shaped by his travels and the global inspirations of his adventures on four continents. Austin’s music is reminiscent of classic American folk but is also combined with rock and blues rhythms creating a unique fusion of musical styles. His songs speak of the human desire to go beyond its natural borders to seek out points unknown.

His repertoire includes a wide variety of music ranging from acoustic ballads to western story songs, folk, and alternative rock. He has been compared to Townes Van Zandt, David Wilcox, and James Taylor but his broad musical diversity creates what can only be described as a wholly original sound.
